Spring training is in full swing but we’re already in mid-season form. Tim Raines was involved in the Pittsburgh Drug Trails and is in the Hall of Fame, so why not Parker? We decide which caps are best suited for this years Hall of Fame class to be represented on their busts, remember some heroic feats by players in uniforms where players actually saved fans from danger and we check up one on disgruntled listener. In our main story this week we learn about baseball’s very first All-Star game which took place at the Fashion Race Course, a horse track the saw a best of three series between New York’s finest baseballers of the day. We check the short list of MLB players from New Hampshire (it’s quick) and look at numbers if everybody played at Coors field throughout baseball history. In our main segment we chronicle the man who is thought to be the grand father of the knuckleball, Toad Ramsey. His story was made for Two Strike Noise, childhood injury, drinks alot, played while is disguise after being kicked out of a game…only two of those things are true but they could all happen to him. Wax Pack Heroes takes on some 1990 cards where one of us pulls our favorite and least favorite player of all time.
